NS for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs)

HI GUYS...sry for not updating, and tt guy who said my blog sux...i think u are shao yan..LOLS!

What is NS? National Service for all young teenagers to protect Singapore from foreign threats? I have been thinking about this topic for quite a long time. Since Singapore is such a small country without Natural resources and have limited population, what's the point of having an army patrolling the coasts of the island? Or even protecting it!? What if big countries like Cambodia or Vietnam come and attack Singapore, will it be able to resist the attack?Though there is a chinese saying: "You will win every war if you are familiar with your enemies." I feel that this is only true to a certain extent. If Singapore will really engage in a war with any other countries, it will either lose the war or lose a huge number of men in its population. Thus, i feel that having NS is actually not that important...NO OFFENCE TO SINGAPOREANS!

The Geography Innvation Project

Hais, after so many days when i stayed through the nite to complete my geography tourism project, I finally completed it tdy morning, at around 4.30 am. It was so tiring, though our idea is considered original and our ideas can allow us to win a prize (i Hope) but it was really difficult to express ur thoughts, ideas and feelings through our presentation slides. But there is one thing which i am very scared of--the presentation...Only 5 min is allowed for us to present our idea to the judges but we have around 55 slides! -_-...NVM bah, i nid to sleep le, too many days of torture can kill me....nites...though it's in the afternoon

Triple Humanities--Good or Bad?

when i was in secondary 2, after the streaming examinations, i have decided to take triple humanities which consist of pure geography, pure literature and elective history+Social Studies. Never did i know that it would be so stressful nowadays as more and more examinations are approaching and i will have to kill tonnes and tonnes of my brain cells to memorise and understand the contents for the relevant subjects...Having a little trouble with chemistry this term too, missed too many chemistry lesson due to the SYF opening ceremony....I dun even understand how to do a single question for the mole quiz!!!! It is really very stressful as i would be taking the chemistry class test on Monday! What to do??? Mole?? What Mole???? Adding to it, Mr Leo and Ms Nafizath both have high expectations for our class...including my lit teacher....Being able to have all A1s for Humanities last term does not mean that i can get it agn this term...But i will work hard and next year, the humanities scholarship will be mine!!!! Snatch it from me if you can!?

Nites!

CHINESE O-LEVEL ORAL EXAM 2010--One of the Easiest in my life

Hi guys...have you taken your chinese o'level oral these few days? (For sec 3s) HAHA, you will be shocked and angry when you know wat the oral examiner asked me...I know tt for the past few days, everyone was saying, "Omg, Monday's oral exam was so difficault, all the chinese idioms appeared for the passage! and I DUN NOE HOW TO PRONOUNCE THEM!" but i heard that the oral conversation was very easy, abt stress huh? HAHA, but dun be so happy, many of you have gone overboard when u talked about stress...they ask u abt stress during ur secondary school years..but many of u talked abt all kinds of stress...that's wrong (Not demoralising you). NVM, there is still Listening compre and the main paper later in the year...dun worry. I oso heard tt tuesday came out quite a difficult word: "裹" where many of u dun noe how to read...it's ok...the best thing is, on wednesday, which was on the day of my exam...the passage was so easy tt the most difficult word is "歉疚" Easy rite? And for the oral conversation part, the question was abt "互联网学习"...wow, it was the best exam ever, i juz spammed talking...hahas, until the tcher laughed and said, u may go now...she did not ask me if i have anything to add on..hahas! Hope those who would be having the exam tmr to work hard and do well!

Spain or Holland, Which one to choose?

World Cup 2010 is a success, seriously even though all the great teams like Brazil, Argentina, France and Italy have been defeated either in the qualifying rounds(the group round) or the quarter finals. However, i still feel that it's a success as two of these year's most successful teams--holland and spain have qualified for the finals. I myself support Spain alot cos of the team spirit and the great players like Casillias, David Villa and Fernanado Torres. Their soccer techniques and skills are really great, the short passes, WOW! But on the other hand, I oso support Holland. Their team has really done well this year, not losing any matches in the world cup. However, when they meet each other in the world cup finals, it is really difficult to choose. Should i support Spain or Should i support Holland? What do you think? Spain or Holland to win the world cup? Hope Paul the Octopus is telling the truth again this time round...

River Valley High + Catholic High's Great Performance at SYF Opening 2010

Hi, guys, this is the first post i have ever written on a blog. Sry if there is any grammatical errors or if the post is really boring :O... Haha.

This post will be on the great performance during the SYF opening ceremony held in the Singapore indoor stadium last Saturday. Hais, i really missed it so much now, but wat to do? it's already over. After going through half a year of trainings and rehearsals (which was really boring), we finally came to the last step--the actual performance itself. Its was really tiring to train for 4 days in a row in the indoor stadium, from ard 12p.m to 6p.m? But the results is really satisfying, b4 the performance i actually was quite worried that the rows and columns will go wrong, but to my utter disbelief, it was actually neat and the formations were perfect (though some of the juniors went out of line in the end). Mr ang was so proud of us, Vanessa, Kenneth, Ms Fong and Mr Soh's hardwork had paid off, our hard work has oso paid off, so proud of the sec 1s...

Through this programme, we had oso made quite a lot of friends from RV, One of them is of course...haha, (Great male Dancer leh but he juz dun admit it). Hahas, MOE should create more programmes like these to improve our social communications to ppl which you don't really know..HAHAs, If you wanna watch the video, it's on youtube and on some of the dancer's facebook profile...hahas
